Tana's New Home
These are pictures of Tana's new "temporary" home because her real home is here in Arizona with us. I am counting the years, months, weeks, days, hours until they run out and she's on her way back. She has a slide show on her blog @ http://santanasmith.blogspot.com with lots of pictures of her little home away from home. The Woodlands (Houston) Texas:

After the Tire Blow Out - the BB Game
Tire Blow Out
We were on our way to Sabriya's basketball today and a tire blew out. We are very blessed that we had just exited the freeway and was on the surface streets so our speed was not as fast. Hate to think of what could of been... Mark can't do anything, I don't know how to do anything and Briya well... We are also truly blessed with good friends and total strangers (Good Samaritan). The Timmer's found us on their way to the game and helped us along with our Good Samaritan Joel R... As you can see in the picture, the entire front facing of this tire was separated and is hanging on by mere threads.

Moving on Up...
Well she has decided that she is not a small town girl but big city lady and so is moving from Beaumont, Texas to the Woodlands, which is a suburb of Houston. Houston is definitely a BIG city and a little rough, but fortunately she has selected the Woodlands which from all I can gather is one of the really nice areas of Houston. She also has changed jobs/hospitals and will now be working in an area with the babies which is what she wants to do more than anything. GOOD LUCK Baby Girl and may God continue to watch over your every step.

Jan 3 2010: My 1st Cardinals Game
We have owned season tickets to the Cardinals since they 1st came to the Valley but I had never been to a game before now. I had a blast! Mark 2, Mark 3 "Trey" and our really good friend John came and sat with Mark 1 so that I could go. In attendance with me was: Bri, Nel, Mesha, Mara, Reggie, Ken's parents (Veronica & Kenneth Iwebema), and Nye (Ken's friend from Univ. of Iowa).
Dec 31: Ringing in the New Year!
We were able to bring in the New Year with Mark thanks to the awesome nursing staff in his ICU unit. They snuck us in: pillows, sleeping bags, laptop, movies, sparkling cider & all & allow us to stay through the midnight hour. There was a serious snoring competition going on between Mark & Shamara. That's Bri & Mara asleep on the floor before midnight. In the group shot, I am on the phone with Santana and Shanel with Marcus as we rang in the New Year.
